Welcome to the world baby Thomas!

Emma and baby Thomas bond with some skin on skin time.

Absolutely shattered but totally overwhelmed. Chris is one proud dad and husband!

One of the absolutely fantastic midwives at the Heath hospital gives James his very first bath. The new mummy and daddy looked on and attempted to learn as much as possible from the experts!

It was like watching the Generation game! She was so proficient at handling tiny babies that she had him bathed and snuggly wrapped in the towel in no time. We wanted to take both James and her home with us!

So what do we do now?!!! While Em set about being a wonder-mum, Chris just kept on snapping!

He doesn't look too impressed about being couped up!

He takes a pause in proceedings and takes stock of his new surroundings.

Feeding is very tiring, especially when you're two days old!

He looks fairly content with our choice of name!

The new mummy and daddy bumble through their first experience of bathing a tiny baby. It was stressful but we don't think James minded too much - or did he?!!

Four days old and we're already socialising! Grandma pops in to welcome little yellow James to the world. Secretly, I think she quite likes him!

While Em was feeding I couldn't resist this shot of his little feet poking out from under his mummy's arm!

We find a comfortable spot to crash out on. This becomes a regular nighttime activity for the next few weeks

We're losing a bit of the jaundice now after getting some natural light. Still not sure on this cell I'm being kept in though!

One incredibly excited Grandpa turns up after waiting patiently for a whole week! Emma is undeniably excited at introducing our son!

Even though the weather is pretty mild, he needs a hat on for a walks outside so why not tell the world about his characteristics!

More important people to meet! This time it's Granny and Grandad and they are very smitten with our little lad!

After a bit of a scuffle James was handed over to Terry so he could finally have his cuddle!

James looks very pleased to meet his Auntie. Cath looks rather impressed too!

Claire and Kirsten popped all the way down from Yorkshire for the day just to say hello to James!

What a lovely two week birthday present!
