A nice sunny spring evening and a happy smile welcome you to the April photos.
James and Mummy had been off to see friends today and rumour had it, that they'd bought a cake! It was true and James was so excited to try his very own and first iced bun!
The iced bun was a great success. So much so that we couldn't chomp it fast enough and we may have missed a little bit in the rush!
We had a lovely surprise visit from Grandpa and GranGran on the Sunday. Once James had woken up from his nap then it was time for lots of giggles and smiles.
James' hair is definitely getting lighter as time marches on. The grins remain the same as ever though!
After lots of playing and smiles you eventually get worn out. So just before our guests left, we had a bit of cuddle time with them to keep them "James happy" until the next visit!
We've become very adept at putting over the last week, and today we learned two new abilities! We managed to put items back onto stacking toys and also learned to put things back into packages! Here James uses his ninja mind powers to levitate a skittle back into the packet.
These new skills take a fair amount of concentration until you've mastered them so it's eyes down on how to get the skittle back in the packet using only your hands!
As we can see, once we've got the hang of it, it becomes much easier to do. We can even grin at the camera while we do it now!
Right, now we've got this straight we'll have this place cleaned up in no time at all.
Dream on daddy!
James tries using a building block to get a little extra height while standing at the sofa doing some serious "putting". Put-ting is the great new game where we put things in places then put them somewhere else! It's great fun and we had a 25 minutes solid putting session earlier!
After all our great putting exploits we've now learned how to put things back on the stacking toys! As you can see, James not only takes the rings off but can now put them back again. What a clever chappy!
Some days you just feel tired. Today is one of those days, so when Mummy fancied a quick afternoon nap, James was more than happy to oblige and get a quick 40 winks.
Grandma came for a visit so we went for a nice walk in the afternoon and seeing as the sun was out we just had to have a go on the swings!
With two people pushing me it's double the fun! Everyone seems to be having a great time here!
After the fun of the swings it was time to try out the slide. Daddy seemed more keen than James to have a go but I think it was a success!
Exploration is the name of the game at the moment and today is no exception. It's amazing how different things can look from new places. James is certainly on a mission to get to as many as possible!
Peepo is still a favourite game but James is happier to be the one hiding now. Here was have a quick game of "Where's James?" from under his walker toy.
If something is put down for more than 2 seconds, it's an invitation to be picked up and usually tasted. James tries to break into Mummy's satsuma in the way he knows best!
James gets to grips with his telephone toy. Well Mummy has to hold it while we have a chat to our friends!
One of our many talents is pulling ourselves up at the bedside table, reaching over to the clock radio and switching it from FM to AM! Sometimes, we are awoken to the radio hissing rather than the expected station. I wonder who caused that then?!
We still absolutely adore hiding and behind the duvet seems as good a place as any to try and hide ourselves away!
Yet more hide and seek being played here. Can you guess where we'll hide?
Mummy's towel is just a great spot to hide away. No-one can see me under here. I'm invisible!
As the disturbed nights sleep have been testament to James' teething, here you can see the efforts of those toothy pegs finally poking through. It looks like there are four on their way which obviously means quite a few more nights of grizzles.
Seeing as James can whiz up single stairs he thought it might be a good challenge to have a go on the main staircase too. Mummy keeps a close watch but James managed to get himself up the second half of the stairs without too much trouble!
Daddy had just cut the grass and James was keen to see what the fuss what about so we were allowed our first crawl around the garden! James didn't seem too sure at first...
...but after a quick spin round the grass James decided himself worthy of a quick round of polite applause to celebrate the occasion.
The next time round the garden was a much more casual and noisy affair with a constant stream of blurbles. At least any dribble was going towards watering the grass!
As usual, anything we do is just the best fun ever and crawling around on the grass certainly lives up to that rule. Looks like Chris still needs to finish off his gardening though!
Seeing as everything is fascinating now, things that are out of sight classify as even more fascinating, so our typical view of James is one of him crawling off into the next room to find whatever he can!
All dressed up ready for nursery, we have to clean our toothy pegs before we can go!
