After a fairly dismal August weather wise and it continuing into September we invested in some rain wear for James. He wasn't too happy about having to put it on but once Mummy took him out for a wet walk and he discovered some puddles, life was much better again......at least until we fell face first in the puddle and filled our wellies with water!

After emptying most of his toys on to the floor, James seems fairly content with the lie of the land. At least he's taken the skittles container off his head here!

After a poorly week with Mummy & Daddy each having to take day off work, Daddy took James to the park on a lovely sunny day. We met up with Milly at the lake who was feeding the ducks with her Mummy. James was offered some bread with which to feed the ducks, so he promptly started eating it! I'm sure the duck looks a little miffed here as he thought he was on for a nice meal!

In the warm afternoon sunshine James had a nice stroll amongst the rose garden, taking in the lovely aroma of the flowers.

With his love of freedom and sense of mischief, he tried to keep a little distance between himself and Daddy but always checked to see that he wasn't too far away, just in case!

With the Indian summer continuing, we took a nice Sunday afternoon stroll around the boating lake and on bumping into another friendly camera user, we had a family picture taken.

We found a nice bench to sit down on to watch the world go by for a few moments, where James decided that it was time to play peepo from the comfort of his buggy.

James is definitely looking like his daddy did at his age but with his Mummy's eyes.

There were quite a few of these pictures but they are all so lovely that it's rude not to post a few of them up here!

James observes everything we do and picks up on even the smallest things. While Mummy was making us a nice dinner, Daddy and James were playing in the lounge. Daddy had the rugby on TV and having watched Daddy change channels, James decided that he wants a go at using the remote control!

Another game of hide and seek and James picks one of his favourite hiding spots.

After a few seconds the anticipation is too much and he jumps out of his hiding place to show us where he was. Nice cuddle for the curtains too!

Seeing as his pencils are nowhere to be seen, James tries drawing with the next best thing. When picking him up from nursery now, he generally tries to scribble over some of the paperwork there.

After realising that the camera is on him, James gives us a nice big cheesy smile!

James loves bouncing on the sofas so give him any excuse to get on there and he'll be up like a flash. Unfortunately for him, Mummy likes tickling his ribs while he's up there but I think it's a good deal all in all!

We like to have a pre-breakfast snack while breakfast is being made and there are two locations to eat it. One is in the play pen and the other is to park oneself neatly on the foot stool.

James certainly looks pleased with todays snack stop location!

We're really in to our books and love to spot animals and other objects from any which are read to him.

His vocabulary is coming on leaps and bounds and his understanding of what we say to him constantly amazes us. I guess this was probably a "Can you see a donkey?" moment!

A nice big smile to end the month and also show off those 8 teeth!
