We're all wrapped up and ready for Sunday lunch out with Granny and Grandad. James has to have a quick play in the leaves before we get in the car though.

Having had a ten minute trip in the car and commenting on every bus and numerous cars that we've seen on the way, we all arrive at the pub for our lunch.

James was very hungry, and seeing as he'd just woken up and then been taken for a drive in the car was eager to spot where his lunch was coming from.

Having been distracted from lunch spotting for a short while, James managed to give his Daddy a rather large grin. I think any dentists would have an easy time looking in there and checking out those 8 teeth!

To be fair to both his parents, James has a good look over at his Mummy who wasn't looking back at him at this moment. James "patiently" waits for his look to be returned so that he can give his Mummy a nice grin back.

Granny and Grandad managed to get a lovely family picture of us after our lovely lunch. We needed a wide angle lens to fit James in the picture after the amount of lunch he ate!

With lovely autumnal light on the turning leaves we had another go at a family picture but James had other ideas. Here he's looking back at the pub door which he desperately wanted to close but couldn't seeing as it was bolted open!

We played a risky game of "up in the air" which James loves but was a little on the dodgy side after such a huge lunch! James loved it as always though!

Grandma came down to stay for the weekend and even baby sat so that Mummy & Daddy could have a night out! James was as good as ever (but with a large dose of tinkerage as usual) and as a reward Grandma bought him two special new toys.

James loves In the Night Garden as I'm sure all other little boys and girls his age do. His favourite characters are Iggle Piggle and Makka Pakka and he goes round saying their names all day until the programme comes on just before his bedtime. Needless to say with a Pakka & Piggle of his own to play with all day he is absolutely delighted!

Something tells us that these two are quite a success. Both Iggle Piggle and Makka Pakka get a huge cuddle from James. (For the uninitiated out there, Iggle Piggle is the one on the left!)

James checks that Iggle Piggle has all that he needs and shares his drink with him! From the time that he was given his new friends at lunchtime until bedtime, they didn't leave his side. He even had them snuggled up with him in his sleep!

Being into everything and noticing things that aren't as they should be, a free magazine posted through the door had to be acquired and fully examined once we'd got back from nursery.

The usual routine once we get back on a schoolday is to put down our bags and then find and put on our slippers. Daddy usually puts his on first then helps James with his. After that its tidying away our shoes as we can see here.

Even though James has yet to pit his slippers on, he's wanting a change of footwear but I don't think these are proper indoor shoes!

James is very definite when it comes to meal times. First of all it's a shout of "Dinner" then followed by a run to his "chair". Once strapped in and a few "Ta"s later after handing Mummy or Daddy the straps, he follows up with a call of "Beep beep" for his bib and then "Ray" so he can have his tray. Finally it's a cry of "Mat" but today it ended up on his head as a Mat Hat!

All these pictures were accompanied by nice giggles as he played peekaboo behind the mat.

Needless to say we didn't get much more eating after this. It was certainly time to play!

Most nights dinner time usually finishes just after six and then there's time for a little play before the main event of the evening. Once the music starts and the "star"s appear on the TV, James looks at his Daddy and is transported to Daddy's lap to sit down and watch In the Night Garden together.

Tonight's episode was all about the characters playing a jumping game. Inspired by this James leapt to his feet and started jumping attempts! His best effort saw both feet a whole centimetre off the ground!

He's always keen to point out his favourite characters, saying "Piggle", "Pakka" and "Daisy" over and over again.

One of his favourite bits is towards the end of the programme when the Merry-go-round starts up and everybody dances together. James of course has to join in!

Once the music stops we get a big cheer of "Yay!" and then a shout of "MORE!" as he demands an encore!

Mummy got back from work and interrupted In The Night Garden with a present. James actually left Daddy's lap and went to investigate!

With Piggle in hand James had a great go on his new rocking horse and certainly showed how much he enjoyed it (in between watching the real Piggle on telly!)

As is standard, James never likes getting dressed up to go out and given the choice he'd go running around virtually starkers rather than put a coat and hat on! Here's a standard picture of the "You got me dressed up" face.

But when James finds out that we're off to the park to go on the swings, kick the ball and shout at Buses, Ducks and Diggers he changes his tune!

An odd one this! After the usual nursery nighttime routine, James watched In the Night Garden as usual but then decided that he wanted to start licking everything. It wouldn't have been too bad but unfortunately he was eating his yoghurt at the time!

A weekend away in Sheffield and we woke up Saturday morning to freezing fog. James' travel buggy needed a few creature comforts to keep out the cold so he watches closely as Bek makes it a bit more snug!

We were to head into town for the day and that meant going on a bus for the first time. Here James is just in mid word saying "Bus". It was certainly very exciting watching them up so close...

...but going on one was a little unsettling...

...and here's a crop of the not so intrepid traveler! Needless to say after five minutes of grizzling and some serious "cudw" = cuddle(s) from his Daddy, James got to quite enjoy it!

We first headed to the Museum where there were several good exhibitions on. James was bowled over by the space and the freedom although he was a little confused by the automatic doors.

The running carried on for at least half an hour! Here he is running around the Charlie and Lola section!

Back out in the main corridor and he takes on the doors again. It was a bit like a scene from Indiana Jones!

Daddy had a brief respite when James saw the scrabble set. Unfortunately there wasn't much of this nice putting the letters on the board play it was mostly swipe them all to the floor for Daddy to pick up!

Here James does his best impression of Carol Vorderman!

In the animal section, James had great fun looking at all the different exhibits and when he discovered bugs in drawers that was just perfect! Of course this accompanied by his classic "Pi-Daa"!

Yet another baked spud for lunch but something tells me it hasn't all been eaten!

Back in Cardiff and after a good few hours in the car seat, James managed to patent his very own blond vertical dreadlock! Nothing we could do could flatten it!
