James really loves playing with his ball and plays one of several games with it. Bounce was the order of the day today and as always he really puts plenty of effort into it!

After a big bounce session its back to football and plenty of big punts in the kitchen!

Before our trip away to Auntie Cath's we got James ready for bed before we set off. James thought it would be a great idea to jump into Mummy & Daddys bed. Daddy managed to catch a picture of a cheeky James on his phone.

After a good nights sleep, James was full of energy as usual and entertained us all as he played with his cards.

Having seen Blues disappear through the cat flap, James wanted to see where he'd gone!

After having a good look round he couldn't see him but fortunately Daddy had managed to grab the camera to get some priceless pictures!

With a little peace while James had got dressed, Blues had come back to one of his favourite sleeping places. The peace didn't last long and James wanted to meet Blues properly with a stroke.

James was very excited by both Midge and Blues and was very good with them both, developing confidence but not over-confidence!

When James couldn't see either Midge or Blues he'd go looking for them. He spotted Midge outside and ran to the window to say hello!

James loves to say what he sees and when he spotted Blues' nose he told us all about it!

Before lunch we went out for a walk to the park nearby. It was quite a big hill for little legs and James was more than happy to be carried through the trees.

With Mummy getting bigger and bigger she needs to rest quite often to get her breath back. Here Andy points out just where the ever growing bump is!

While Mummy and Andy have a nice chat, Cath and James discover what the playpark has to offer. Daddy snaps away as usual!

Back home and refuelled after lunch and a little nap, James finds "his" chair and tries it out for size.

James really liked the chair and moved it to the best position possible, right in front of the TV!

James joined Daddy in watching a bit of footie on the TV. It might have been a bit easier to turn the chair round but it didn't seem to bother James too much!

It soon got to 6 o'clock and the telly magically changed channel to catch up with Piggle and his friends. James watches all his Night Garden friends closely as usual.

James discovered Midge's bed and seeing as Midge wasn't in it, decided to try it out for himself!

Just like his Daddy many many years ago, maybe James is wanting to become an Army Dog! Licking the side of Midge's bed can't be that good for you though!

Well it's nice and warm and comfy - why not go to sleep here?!!

James tries out Midge's bed in the lounge as well and likes it just as much as the one in the kitchen!

Feeling fully refreshed, James has a nice early kickaround in the lounge.

Blues sat himself in James' chair so James comes over and gives him a nice greeting.

Having got his chair back, James settles down and has a big old drink.

Reliving the scene from the day before, James says hello to Midge again.

Wanting Midge to come back inside, James lets us know that Midge is outside.

Just before we head out for a pre-lunch walk, James discovers his little box of Thomas books and plays with them on the kitchen floor. Midge checks them out too!

With the weather having taken a turn for the worse, it was time to wrap up against the elements but it didn't stop James from having a quick game of throw the ball before we set off.

A combination of waking up early, lots of active play and the brisk wind were all too much for James and he fell fast asleep half way round our little walk. The sleep lasted 2½ hours!

Granny and Grandad came over for a days visit and James loved going to the park with them. He still prefers pushing the roundabout rather than sitting on it!

Meeting up with friends over the weekend gave us all the excuse for going out for Sunday lunch. Once all the spaghetti bolognaise had disappeared, James spotted a slide outside and got very itchy feet!

After a few exploratory goes on the slide, James and Daddy both built up confidence and James was keen to do both the climbing and sliding on his own. Daddy quickly found his camera and started snapping!

James loved the freedom of being able to do it all himself and was smiling the whole time.

This and the previous picture is part of a great five picture sequence as James appeared at the top of the slide steps!

James on one of his many descents of "his" slide.

James makes sure that he's being watched before starting yet another trip to the bottom of the slide.

James' only moment of uncertainty is just as he starts on his way down. It doesn't last long though!

Getting quicker and quicker at the whole process, there's only time for a single picture each time he ascends the ladder!

Needless to say James absolutely loved the slide and didn't want to leave.

Finally Daddy managed to get a shot of James' face as he whizzed down the slide. It was such a great way to spend the first really nice weekend of the spring!

James had been a busy boy the previous week and had made his Mummy a lovely card in nursery. Here he helps Mummy open one of her cards.

Having opened her card, Mummy enjoys looking at James' painting while a happy James moves on to some playing.

Grandpa came over for the afternoon as we'd planned a trip to a local model railway society. Here James and Grandpa both carefully watch the steam trains as they go about their business.

A great photo for a caption competition this! James really wanted to go on the trains and Grandpa was keen to take him. Once on the train, James became unhappy, as we thought he might, and Daddy fired off this quick photo before taking over and accompanying James on two laps of the track. After screaming for most of the first lap he was getting the hang of it and then he saw Mummy again which brought on more screaming!

After the trauma of the train ride, it was great to see some friends arrive and Milly and James soon started playing with the football together.

It was lovely to watch them sharing the ball, even if several other children wanted to run off with it at times!

Back to the trains and James realised that watching the trains was much better than riding on them. Here he points out a train as it comes out of the tunnel.

The fence was a little awkward for James with the top bar obstructing his view so he took into this squatting position to allow him to carry on watching!

Leaning on the fence gave an unobstructed view of the line. Check out James' Bob the Builder trousers complete with handy tools poking out his back pocket! How Cute?!

What better way to spend a lovely early spring afternoon that watching choo choo trains in the sun?!

James and Milly rediscover the ball and run around in the sunshine.

What a great picture! James and Milly both get to the ball at the same time and the anticipation is clearly visible!

James enjoys playing in the big beds and after playing in the spare room and bouncing on the bed, soon snuggled up and requested a few friends.

Soon James had most of his friends but he knew one was missing. He soon let Daddy know that Makka Pakka needed to join the fun!

The cuddly toy game soon gave way to more boyish behaviour with toys flying off the bed in various directions. This picture gives the impression that James has the ability to levitate all his toys!

Teddy gets the aerial treatment too as the toys begin to fly a bit quicker!

Piggle and Daisy fly towards the camera with James loving his game of flying friends!
