Sophie is generally pretty good and only really cries when she's hungry. We often use the chair for her awake time to let her see what's going on around her.

James thinks it's a real treat to go and see the lawnmower in the garage and gets the keys for Daddy to show him!

With Piggle on the telly it's time to come in from the garden and sit down. That's the plan anyway although James being the rascal he is often plays by his rules!

When she's awake, Sophie shows us her great big eyes!

Unless James is really tired after a busy day it's impossible to keep him still for more than 10 seconds. After climbing onto the sofa, he proceeds to start a game of jumping off the armrests onto the sofa.

James loves his collecting and putting games and will store things anywhere. Mummy and Daddy have to be vigilant doing their day to day tasks, just in case!

James was given another late birthday present of this Iggle Piggle jigsaw and he celebrated putting it together by sitting on it and giving Daddy a big cheesy smile!

Having got James to bed, we were left with Sophie to settle. It doesn't look like she's that sleepy though!

Sophie's eyes, although still dark blue, are starting to turn a little browner now. Still great big eyes though!

James comes up on to the sofa for a cuddle with Sophie and Mummy.

Daddy asks for a nice family smile and gets one from two of the three! I guess we'll give Sophie time to work on her smiles!

Very similar to when James was this age, Sophie does her orator pose and looks as if she is about to change the course of the world!

Although it looks here like Sophie is ready to be fitted into a box and mailed off somewhere, this is just the position she managed to wriggle into on the sofa!

One of James new games is "Eyes closed dinner". Although its not strictly good table manners, it gives him a second wind at mealtimes and allows us to get some more food down him!!!

A nice sunny weekend and a visit from Granny & Grandad meant playtime for James. The focal point as is often the case was the slide in the garden!

James came up with the new game of going down the slide and then doing a rolly polly on the grass. Great fun for James and good fun for Daddy who got plenty of action shots as James tumbled about!

With arms and legs in the air, James gets some extra speed on the slide which results in a bit of "air" at the bottom!

Just how cute is this?!

All the while James was whizzing up and down the slide, Grandad was doing some great work on the playhouse and fixing the door. James didn't seem to notice though - but he was very happy with his handiwork once Grandad fixed it!

Always keen for a new perspective, James takes a look at the living room the wrong way round!

Amazingly Sophie managed to stay awake for more than 5 minutes whilst being cuddled here...

...But by the sixth minute the eyelids were getting heavy again!

With bedtime approaching, James gives his sister a nighttime cuddle, even if Sophie doesn't look too amused at having been woken!

Granny and Grandad came to stay for the weekend and we all managed to go out for lunch on the Sunday. After much playing by James on the slide and running around outside it was time to go but not before a photo.

Daddy had a go with the camera too and took a nice shot of the Daniel bloodline!

Back at home, Sophie was giving out lots of nice smiles hence the camera coming out again!

But all this performing has its drawbacks. Time for another snooze by all accounts!

Megan was in town and came over to visit us just before James' bedtime. She was very kind and bought presents with James' being this big bubble set. Once we'd worked out how to get in it, we were all very impressed with the bubbles it produced.

James was very excited by all the big bubbles and was frantically running around trying to pop as many as he could!

This picture was taken about 3 seconds before a moderate amount of tears was produced! James was so busy popping that he forgot to look where his feet were and stumbled over the little garden wall we have. It was a soft landing though so the tears weren't too bad...

...and this explains the softness! He managed to land square on his nose! This was taken the following day as the rest of the previous day had been taken up with cuddles!

As is often the case when Daddy gets back from work Sophie is sparko! Some interesting hand shapes being thrown here!

When Sophie does wake up, these big eyes start looking at you and you just want to preserve the moment!

Again, how cute is she?!!!

Every time we ask James for a smile now, we get this cheesy chin out effort!!!

With Felisardo and Cruz over from Mexico, it was a great opportunity to get everyone together so we met at a Farm Park near Swindon. James and Joshie soon started playing together and they both loved the big sand pit.

James soon found a favourite shovel and set to work on filling as many buckets as he could.

There were many activities and one of them was animal racing. We all set off to watch although James seemed more interested in his apple.

While James ate his apple, and everyone else watched racing sheep and goats, Sophie slept right through! It's nice to have two children that are so easy to please! Long may it last!!!

Something interesting must have happened here as James is temporarily disturbed from eating!

Back inside, and with the bouncy castle overrun with a party of cub scouts, James decided to head into the ball pool. Mummy went in too and they both had great fun.

With Cruz watching over Sophie it allowed Mummy and James to have a nice play together.

With such a big ball pool, there was loads of fun to be had. James enjoyed jumping in at any opportunity.

James is still showing those signs of battle with our garden back at home!

Daddy wasn't going to let Mummy have all the fun and eventually managed to get a go in the ball pool too!

The main event of the day for James was a ride on the tractor. It was just like being on the Ninky Nonk as it was such a bumpy ride. James sat on Daddy's lap all the way round even with Daddy being thrown a foot up in the air by some of the bumps! James chatted most of the way round saying things like "Wheels going round", "Man Driving it" & "Big Blue Tractor". At least it was a success!!!

After the tractor ride, James went back to the sandpit and a kind lady took some pictures of James and Daddy as they built more sand castles!

James decided that it was just as much fun to kick them over as it was to build them!

Daddy was stationed in the playhouse above the sandpit as James ran back and forward and grabbed a quick shot of everyone else as they assembled and fed before the respective journeys home.

All the while James ran up and down the slope with not a care in the world!

Sophie after a nice feed and looking forward to the inevitable sleep on the way back had time to put in some lovely smiles for everyone!

James had been a busy boy in nursery the week before and on the Sunday gave Daddy the fruits of his labours. A lovely card with some finger painting!

Sophie's mild temperament allows us to get on with things such as cooking the dinner and her adopted chair allows her to see what we're up to. She's content seeing us around and lets us know that with yet more grins!

Sometimes those grins turn into huge great smiles like this one!!!

Getting ever more adventurous, James decides to head up the slide the wrong way and gives his Mummy kittens in the process!

When babies sleep they really go for it. Just as James did 2 years ago, Sophie crashes out in some great positions. The surrender position is one of our favourites!

It doesn't seem to matter that one of her hands is out of the rails - as long as she's snoozing, she's happy!
