After a day at nursery, James is keen to catch up with Sophie and always wants to tell her about his day and give her a cuddle.

Sophie has the biggest eyes and, as babies do, stares intently taking everything in. Daddy's camera is certainly fascinating her here!

A day trip for the annual family picnic this time in Newbury and once arrived we set up camp and Em began yet another feeding session for Sophie!

While the girls did "their thing", Daddy and James tucked into their lunch.

Once lunch was over, James turned to all the distractions the day provides. Having picked up the cricket ball he tries to emulate what he'd seen Daddy doing earlier.

Daddy isn't much of a bowler but James certainly believes in pitching the ball up!

Having discovered a boules set, James decides to rearrange them in his standard way.

Daddy finished off his lunch while James played and found a nice comfy chair. After a while, James checked to see where Daddy was and soon picked himself up and began running towards him!

This is another one of the series but the camera could barely keep up with the incoming James!

With several babies and toddlers present, the "older" children made lots of little friends quickly. James wasn't too sure about the extra attention at first!

We can't say that Sophie is actually meeting her cousin Alicia here (as they can't see each other) but they spent time in close proximity!

Plonked on the floor but still smiling!

Back for a second bite of lunch and a bit of pudding, James and Daddy sit back and check out everyone else running around for a change!

As the day got warmer James was asked to wear his hat. Fortunately the days of the hat immediately coming off are gone!

After a full day away on the Saturday, we needed another one on the Sunday to go looking at areas in our househunting quest. After being cooped up too long and navigating lots of windy roads, James let us know that it was time for a stop! Daddy's new car didn't have that new car smell anymore but at least James was up for smiling!

While all the commotion was going on, Sophie kept on dozing and being wonderfully well behaved!

Back home and strapped in her chair, the camera was soon on Sophie.

And once the camera starts snapping she gives us some lovely smiles!

With Mummy cooking dinner, James decides that he wants to put his Thomas apron on!

After both Mummy and Daddy commenting on James when he pulls a funny face, James now takes it on himself to announce his pulling of this funny face!

After dinner, James winds down to bedtime by jumping on the sofas. Hmmmm, I think we need to work on his bedtime routine a little more!

With Mummy and Sophie on the sofa, James wants to get in on the action, and the photo!

Milly and her parents came over after their trip to the park and James wanted to play with Milly out in the garden. It's lovely the way they play so well together and always gives a lovely photo opportunity!

I'm not sure if it's sleep hair or from too many cuddles but the bouffant look is certainly look de jour!

With Sophie only being 10 weeks old, we could bath her in smaller places but we now coincide both hers and James' bath times. Fortunately this handy little bath chair helps immensely!

After Sophie has her bath, James jumps in for a bit of "together" bath time and he's very good, helping to wash Sophie's toes!

A weekend away in Mid Wales with Grandma and Big Rog was eagerly awaited by all of us. James was very excited about seeing the big garden and also...

...finding the tractor in the garage! He wasn't too sure of it at first but it didn't stop him from talking about it all the time!!!

Big Rog needed to dig up some potatoes for our dinner and asked James to help him.

Equipped for the job with wellies and a shovel everyone set off digging the potatoes out!

As little boys do, James loved playing and digging in the mud!

Armed with a sturdy trowel, James began rearranging the vegetable patch!

Seemingly happy with his days work, James gives his Daddy a nice smile.

Another great game was to find any stones or fallen fruit and throw it into the stream. Here Mummy chases James just to make sure his eagerness to throw things into the water didn't earn a surprise soaking!

Sophie as usual was her good self, either feeding, gurgling or sleeping. She's taken to sucking her thumb now and is just as happy with the left one as with the right!

As Grandmas are fully entitled to, Sophie's Grandma enjoys as many cuddles as she can!

Sophie hasn't got the hang of posing for the camera just yet...!

James knows exactly what he wants and this cushion isn't in the current plans...

...but once it's out of the way it's clear to see what he was thinking!

Hard to describe this other than one very cute little lady!

Daddy moves in a little closer and those great big eyes follow the camera.

Sophie gives her Daddy a lovely smile!

Sophie spots her brother and breaks into another grin.

James loves giving his little sister a cuddle and after getting down from having his dinner, he finds Sophie and gives her a special snuggle.

Having picked James up from nursery in the double buggy, Sophie had fallen asleep with thumb in mouth. As the sleep became deeper the thumb started to work its way out!

With Granny over for the weekend, James was more than happy to be the joker and Mummy and Sophie certainly were kept entertained.

All too soon though, it was time for Granny to leave and a tired out James couldn't even muster a smile.

Sophie either loves or loathes being in her chair and fortunately here, Daddy caught her in the former mood!

Another lovely picture of our smiley daughter!

With the lousy summer weather continuing apace, James had commented that it had rained all day in the car on the way back from nursery. On arriving back at home James saw the big puddle by the door and wanted to play!

Once he had his wellies on and a cardigan almost covering his shoulders, James set to work on performing the biggest splashes he could!

Soon enough, James was getting pretty damp and even took time out from his splashing to inspect the damage!

Realising how wet he was and expecting the usual repercussions, James looked at his Mummy to see if he was going to be in trouble!

Getting the green light from Mummy and spotting some friends from over the road, James expresses his delight with the splashing game.

Glancing at his Daddy, James us one of our favourite smiles!

Back to the puddle as there's more splashing to be done!

Showing us what a talent he is, James proves that he can splash in many different directions! After the splashing was done, we struggled to get one of his wellies off as it contained almost an inch of water!

With Mummy and Daddy calling time on the splashing, a very soggy but happy James heads back inside!

After a busy day in nursery, Mummy picked up James but there was something different about him today...

James tells us that they'd been doing face painting and that he had wanted to be a tiger!

Not wanting to do a big roar for Daddy's camera, he decided to do grins instead!

Daddy had been to the shops and saw a book that James would have liked so on seeing it, James immediately wanted to read it!

Where was the Pinky Ponk going? There was only one way to find out!

With a little food inside for energy, the tiger roared once more!

On seeing something he wants, James usually resorts to "Balloon" or "Want it" but after parental prompting we usually hear the "magic word"!
