Sophie loves her bathtime and is getting ever more adventurous in her play.

With that black flashy box going off again, Sophie gives us her inquisitive look!

Tucking into some lunchtime toast, Sophie is a happy muncher!

Post bathtime and we've been rolling around on the mat as usual. That usually results in some wild hairstyles!

The whole bathtime experience is very enjoyable!

A weekend trip out into the forest and also to find the pond. Armed with a bag of bread, James was more than keen to feed the ducks and swans.

Even better than feeding the ducks was finding a whole big patch of muddy ground!

Naturally being two and a half, it's mandatory to get in amongst the mucky stuff!

Daddy's car is very handy as it doubles as a seat for getting those mucky wellies off!

After lunch in the car (it was cold and windy there!) we went back for another go at feeding the ducks. Sophie supervised from her elevated position!

After the ducks and swans were fed, it was time for a quick walk, or was that run!

Before hometime there was time (isn't there always?) for a nice big snuggle!

Sophie likes being upright and reaches for all toys in range. What a happy little lass!

One thing (of the many) we love about watching Sophie (and James when he was this age) is what her redundant hand does when the other is occupied. The fingers are often fanned out in a wave like this!

She loves her toys and will happily play away until she bats them out of range!

Often if we all cheer or clap, Sophie will join in with her own little hand clap too!

What a busy day I've had!

More munching and Sophie is really getting the taste for toast

Another weekend trip to the forest and while Daddy has a quick look for some birdies, Mummy, James and Sophie try out the swings nearby.

Sophie seems to think that the swings are to her liking!

Back with Daddy again, we find all sorts of interesting things to do in the forest (usually at high speed!)

Always on the look out for her Mummy, Sophie waits for her to look back!

We're getting the urge to crawl now and move about with the ambition to reach things that bit further away.

What a profile! A little scratch from sharp little finger nails can't spoil a perfect picture!

When something is examined, it's scrutinised in its entirety.

A present for Sophie, this camera was popular amongst both of them. James trying to be like his Daddy again!

Sophie doesn't know which way to look here. Which camera?!

A lovely James cuddle for Sophie but what is Daddy doing?!!

James loves cuddling his sister but we always have to watch that he doesn't get to carried away, knocking her over.

James plays both his parents off against each other as any other little child does and certain looks are proof of that. This one is testing out Mummy! Just before this he'd given Daddy a Valerie-time Card (Valentines!) from Mummy!

We treasure the moments when they play nicely together, especially sharing as it's so tough at this age!

A bit of tummy time for Sophie and she's certainly warming to the idea of being mobile.

Grandpa and GranGran came over for a "fix" and as usual it was a cuddlefest!

It's hard to know which of these pictures is the best so they are all up here for you to choose!

This one is very special though! What a look!

How happy is Grandpa here?! Sophie looks pretty happy too!

I think I'm ready for a bit more milk now please!

Yet more snow to continue our super cold winter and this time it's the good type of snow. Daddy and James manage to build a massive snowman right outside the house, even complete with a carrot nose!

Fortunately the snow isn't too bad to stop Granny and Grandad coming to visit, so it's out in the garden to enjoy it before it melts!

Granny & Grandad brought their sledge over and James loved being whizzed round the garden!

With one Granny power pulling the sledge, James managed to get up to a good speed!

Using the hill at the side of the house they had great fun whizzing down it.

It's hard to say who had the most fun here!

If only it snowed every day!

Not to feel left out, Grandad was asked to do some sledge pulling too!

Trying out a different slope, everyone is outside enjoying the snow (apart from a poorly Mummy).

Daddy has a go at sledge pulling too (you have to have a little break when working from home!)

Sophie wonders what all the fuss is about while James and Daddy make all that noise!

On the steepest part of the garden, James and Daddy actually manage some freefall sledging!

We wanted to include Sophie as well, although she doesn't seem too bothered by going on the sledge!

This is a bit new! Sophie seems very cautious hurtling down the hill at a snails pace!

How many Thomases can you fit on a plastic sledge?!

With the snow a fading memory a visit from Grandma is a lovely surprise!

In order to hopefully get a smile (or to remove a sucked thumb), we don't say cheese. Chocolate biscuits gets a much better response!

A weekend trip to a nearby antique fair to see Auntie Catherine and Uncle Andy was a nice change, but as usual running around outside was great fun!

Not a family shot but a picture showing the amazing numbers of snowdrops we've seen this year. I've never seen carpets of them like bluebells in late spring.

With saturated ground and an active James, there's always going to be mucky patches! James checks out how muddy his hands are before wiping them on his clothes as usual!

What a lovely coat this is and what a lovely bundle inside it too!

Daddy remembered the football today so he and James had a great game of kick the ball up in the sky!

What great pairs of eyes!

She's on her feet! With some assistance from James' partly assembled "Big Boys Bed", Sophie is very proud of herself!

Those fingers are still gripping tightly but she is surprisingly good on her feet!

Now we're just showing off!

Daddy managed to follow the instructions and James wanted to try it out as soon as he could. Maybe we needed a bigger bed?!

With painful teeth coming through Sophie wants to chew on things to help out even if it is Mummy's forehead!

One of a series of three shots this. This is the first. The second showed two thirds of Sophie's face and the last just one eye! She can crawl a little bit now but only backwards!
