A few press ups here and there keeps those neck muscles nice and strong!

Much happier on her tummy now, Sophie can keep herself entertained for long periods as long as the toys are in range.

We can even manage smiles on our tummy now, much to Daddy's pleasure!

One of Sophie's traits is her synchronised hand or foot waving. Even the camera can't halt the motion as she embarks on one of her bottom bouncing, hand waving flourishes!

Today was the big day when James slept in his big boys bed for the first time. With a Bob the Builder duvet cover on, he couldn't wait to go to bed!

It's the only time that James has even wanted to go to bed before bedtime!

Someone is very proud of their new bed here!

Showing off this lovely vest, Sophie models her wonderfully chunky baby knees too!

Some nice spring sunshine got us out of the house and down to the park. Sophie and James both enjoyed going on the swings.

Sophie enjoys being pushed, with her smile growing each time you push her back. Maybe Daddy saying Wheeeee helps too!

Sophie loves her time on the swing but loves smiling at Mummy too!

James on the other hand is much happier for big swings!

With a fairly quiet playpark, it was nice to get both of them on the swings together.

Do you think they could be related?!!

Sophie enjoys playing with James' toys and the xylophone can sometimes be hot property. No squabbles here though as Sophie has it to herself.

After we sing a song we often do some clapping and cheer. Sophie loves joining in with the round of applause too!

James loves being like Mummy or Daddy. If it's not dressing up to look like Daddy with his cardigan, it's putting on Mummy's shoes to be like her!

Poor Sophie! Novelty hat pictures are one thing but this one, although very cute, caused her to fall over as the hat was too heavy and she went over. No harm done though as she had her hard hat on!!

After watching Peppa Pig and seeing an episode with Daddy Pig making big bubbles outside, James wanted in on the action.

So after watching his own Daddy run along with the bubble wand in the air, James has a go too!

After working out that waving the wand frantically and running wasn't the best, James did some great bubbles just like Daddy & Daddy Pig!

It's quite a skill running full pelt whilst looking over your shoulder!

After seeing that the weather was going to be nice for Mother's Day, we decided on heading down to Sully to find some sand for sandcastles. Sophie's patch was fairly restricted but she enjoyed the sea air!

James had great fun, running along the beach and jumping in the rockpools.

The main attraction was the sand though, and having bought a bucket and spade whilst he and Sophie slept in the car earlier, the day was a great success!

Even more of a success was a bonus trip to see Milly on the way home!

As ever, James and Milly loved playing together and it's always such a delight to seem so happy!

Yes, we do set them up a bit, but Milly and James are always willing to pose for a cuddle together!

Milly is the proud owner of a Peppa Pig house, so the Thomases were more than happy to play too!

Milly wanted to have hers and James' picture taken with some goggles on so here it is!

Another of Milly's wonderful toys is her music station. James happily played on the keyboard, Tomliboo style while Milly did some singing!

After very kindly being invited to stay for an impromptu dinner, time was marching on and it was time to go home and time for goodbyes.

What you see here Ladies and Gentlemen are genuine hugs!

Check out James' hands. That's a real squeezey hug!

With his lovely colourful jumper on from Grandma, James and Sophie have a nice cuddle with Mummy!

We always have a little play time after dinner before bed time, and Sophie likes nothing better than knocking down a few towers. We celebrate a good demolition with a round of applause!

As usual, James wants to be like Mummy or Daddy. James decides that he wants to work on the computer before bedtime. Computer is one of those "trickly" words though that he hasn't mastered yet!

With a potential afternoon of rugby ahead of him, Daddy did all the jobs in the morning to guarantee a seat on the sofa for the afternoon. After dismantling and then reassembling the cot in Sophie's room, Mummy was eager to let Sophie try it out!

With Sophie happy to stand on her own for good periods of time, the camera was bound to come out and this is such a lovely picture of a coy little smile at her Daddy!

Sophie has to make sure that both Mummy and Daddy see how confident she is on her feet!

It won't be long until she's running around. Crawling is just about there now. She is on her knees and actually moving forwards a little.

I guess this is the official handover of the cot from James to Sophie now the big boys bed is a firmly established favourite!

On your marks, get set... Sophie is poised and ready to crawl!

Sophie checks out with Mummy if she has the green light to knock the tower down!

A birthday present for Mummy is helpfully opened by James.

Mummy's new pyjamas are beautifully modelled by James!

A cheeky little grin for Daddy is gratefully snapped by his camera!

Banana? I'll have some of that thank you!

With Grandma over to visit, James was more than happy to have some stories read.

As usual, Sophie checks out whatever it is she's looking at with a purposeful stare.

She doesn't see much in the way of jewellery so with Grandma's necklace within range, Sophie makes a beeline for it!

Daddy gets a very special happy birthday cuddle from Sophie and James!

Grandpa and GranGran come over to celebrate too and we all went for a walk in the Forest. Sophie didn't do much walking but looks a peach with her strawberry bib!

James' hood has been very handy over the months and here doubles as yet another safety device, stopping the ducks from getting more than bread!

As is often the case, if there's mud to be found, we end up taking a fair bit of it home on our knees and elsewhere!

Thankfully for James, Daddy's birthday cake was a chocolate one and as such James tries to cram it in as quickly as possible!

Do you think James likes chocolate cake?!!

James helps Daddy open his presents and thankfully for everyone, Daddy gets a new pair of slippers!

Donned in Daddy's old slippers, its time for Grandpa and GranGran to go so James gives GranGran a lovely goodbye cuddle.
