Sophie is getting much more confident on her feet and cruises around the house at any opportunity. She even tries a pace or two when prompted!

When she realises there aren't hands to help her balance she'll slowly lower herself down to a more comfortable floor level!

After watching something very similar on one of his Peppa Pig DVD's, James decides that he wanted to be on TV too!

This must be the "funny" at the end of the news!

With Granny and Grandad staying for the weekend, it was time to get every single outdoors toy in action. Daddy showed James one of his golf clubs and naturally James wanted a go.

When you're three even a pitching wedge is quite a big golf club!

Sophie loves the slide and wants to come down herself even if she can get a little out of control near the bottom! A little bottom at the top shuffle usually gets her moving!

With arms out for balance (or is that just cuteness?), down she goes!

Grandad and Sophie enjoy a game of hide and seek under the slide.

Thirteen months old and fearless when it comes to the slide!

Ever inquisitive, Sophie investigates the other way up the slide.

When Daddy goes outside, Sophie wants to get out there too and he often sees something like this at the front door!

James takes his Bob scooter out for a spin on the drive. Helmet on - good boy James!

He can get quite a speed up on the drive but knows he isn't allowed to go down the hill outside!

Yet more vertical play as Sophie shows off one of her summer dresses.

I think they all appear to be present!

While we get on in the kitchen, Sophie is often put in the playpen/jail. It started off as the former but with her growing independence it's turning into the latter!

James has got the hang of cycling now and whizzes round and round the drive.

Even hills aren't a problem with James' new love of cycling!

Round and round we go!

A good lesson learned by James is how to use the brake and what it does! It does take quite some concentration though!

I wonder how long it'll be till those stabilisers are off?!

Don't worry Sophie, when you're a bit bigger you can have a bike too!

Life is good fun when you're three!

James loves doing jigsaws and is very proficient at them. The only problem we get is often the pieces from the ten or so jigsaws we have get put in one pile so it takes a bit longer to complete them!

While James loves doing his jigsaws, Sophie loves putting things in their place!

A bit of shape sorting before dinner!

What a cutie!

Sophie's independent streak is very strong! She wants to do as many things as she can including a very strong urge to feed herself which always results in messy carnage!

With the Fuzzy gang over to stay at ours for the weekend, Sophie was keen to point out that this was her piece of toast and she was sharing with no one!

Grandma's jam is always a big hit and being a nice dark colour it's a bit easier to find all those grubby bits for cleaning!

Sophie always knows where Mummy and Daddy are and even across a crowded room she's keen to show Daddy what she's eating!

On a hot and sunny day we managed to get thirteen people out into the Forest. We went to a steam railway which also had a playpark to keep the younger members amused. First it was time for lunch though.

It was nice to sit in the shade with the temperatures approaching 28 degrees and a good photo opportunity with all the juniors sitting on the same table!

Before we went on the train it was time to check out the treehouse. James was very good at climbing the ladder!

After a long run around it was mandatory to visit the shop for an ice cream!

Both Sophie and James said that they wanted ice creams!

Look at this choc ice Daddy!

Daddy wanted to get a "cold" shot as he did with James two years before! Poor Sophie doesn't realise how cold this is going to be!

Wowsers! That's cold Daddy! Sorry Sophie! Daddy loves you lots really!

James wasn't too confident about going on the train so we walked through the woods to get to the other play area. He was much happier playing on the monkey bars!

It was all a bit much for Sophie so she parked herself in a good spot and had a bit of a rest.

Batteries recharged, Sophie was soon back on the move again!

When she doesn't like the texture of the surface she's crawling on, Sophie raises her knees so only her hands and feet are in contact with the ground!

Sophie eventually found the slide and made sure Daddy gave her plenty of goes.

James didn't want to but we decided the immersion technique was the best so with tears and screams we hopped on the train. After less than a minute of the train setting off James was saying "I love the train Mummy!" Needless to say we were both very proud of James when the train ride finished!

Another hot day for the Sunday and we set up the new paddling pool outside for the kids to play in. Sophie donned a hair band for the day too (for a short while anyway before it was wrenched off!)

Check out that lovely long blond hair!

Just like James, Sophie is a bit of a chocoholic although as you can see here she won't admit to liking it at all!

Eating chocolate is a full on business. If there are any bits of skin exposed they must be smothered in chocolate by the end of its consumption!

It was hard to choose from this next set which was my favourite. I took the easy option and put the best four up!

As is utterly obvious, Sophie is happiest when munching chocolate. I was smiling almost as much as her while snapping away!

I took the tough decision and think this is my favourite! It's our computer wallpaper too!

Although they are all gorgeous!

...and here we have Sophie modelling the 2010 swimsuit collection, looking resplendent in pink as usual.

Not wanting to be outdone, James models his cool Mr Men pyjamas!

A quick stretch of those legs before bedtime. No she didn't sleep in her swimsuit!
