1st January. After a quiet New Years Eve - where I was the only one awake in the house, I got out early and headed down to Keyhaven again. Not the perfect light that I’d had a few days earlier but still some nice pictures of Turnstone at Keyhaven, Linnet and a really nice Greenshank in the channel at Milford got my years photography off and running nicely.
26th January A standard weekend walk around Roath Park Lake but this time I took my gear along with us. The afternoon winter light looked pretty good but was inconsistent through the trees so with tricky conditions I managed to get some nice pictures of Little Grebe, Tufted Duck, Coot and my first nice shots of Pochard. I’m slowly getting used to the lens and with more practice should end up getting more consistent with my photography.
